11-16-08: The countdown to Tuesday night has begun here at TMN as we ready ourselves to travel for Los Angeles to attend all the festivities and bring it to you live. What a long strange trip it’s been and we are excited as can be to be there for this moment in Mustang history.
On Tuesday night, Ford is showing off the all new 2010 Mustang to fans at a hangar located at the Santa Monica airport. The event will be attended by local club members, Ford media, and a number of auto-centric celebrities including Carroll Shelby, Jack Roush, John Force and Ashley Force just to name a few.
"This is the day true Mustang fans have been waiting for," said Paul Randle, chief engineer for the 2010 Mustang. "Our loyal Mustang customers have been counting down the days until we unveil the new generation of this iconic American muscle car, and now it's our turn to surprise and delight."

Mustang Club of America groups across the country - including Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Tulsa, Detroit, Phoenix, Denver, Columbus, Ohio, and Tampa - will hold reveal events in local movie theaters. Guests will receive a limited-edition 1:18th scale die-cast 2010 Mustang as well as other prizes. Many locations are organizing Mustang car shows before the reveal broadcast.
On Wednesday, we will be at the Los Angeles International Auto Show to cover the official press event for the 2010 Mustang reveal. During the course of the day we will be uploading more photos, interviews and show coverage right here at TMN.
The excitement is high for the 2010 Mustang and Ford has fueled the fires with teaser photos for the past six weeks. Hot Wheels are already out and it wont be long before you can buy T-Shirts and other goodies as well.
Best of all, dealers will be able to start ordering the cars on Thursday of this week with first deliveries to arrive in early spring of 2009.
