Jack and Company roll out another 100 unit run boutique model.
02-25-08: Roush is busy at work already in 2008, rolling out more boutique models to bolster their collection of up-fitted Mustangs. Finding success with 100 unit special runs of cars such as the Blackjack, the Roadster, the 429R and others, this latest Mustang comes in any color you want provided it is white with orange stripes.
The “Speedster” package Mustang will be built in a quantity of 100 units all with the Mustang GT’s five-speed automatic transmission. The RoushCharger will be an optional item, so there will be variations on the drive trains. What will not change from car to car is the 18” black cast Roush wheels, orange Speedster graphics and custom suede leather interior. The black leather chairs feature matching orange stitching and Speedster graphics embroidered in the backs. On the floor are a set of matched floor mats as well.

Included is the trademark Roush front fascia and rear wing, along with their new high flow grille reminiscent of vintage Shelby’s. This is more than just an appearance package model too. Underneath us a full Roush suspension package to go with the blacked-out Roush wheels. And you can option the massive 14” Roush front brakes and off-oad exhaust system if you really want to rumble.
While “Speedster” has been a popular model by Saleen in the past, Roush has pulled off the theme well. A well equipped Roush Speedster convertible with the RoushCharger will top $55,000 so they will need to find at least 100 people who want this color combo. But if the past is any guide, that won’t be a problem.
