Steeda rocks the house with 650hp custom built 5.0 supercharged V8.
02-22-08: While Roush and Saleen get most of the headlines for building custom up-fitted Mustangs, Steeda has been building their own style of Mustangs for some time now. In fact, those who pride themselves on having the rare and collectible can pride in knowing that they are less likely to be seen coming and going on local roads. Though they may not build thousands of cars each year, Steeda offers the same OEM quality and engineering as the aforementioned brands.
Topping the charts for Steeda’s lineup is the Q650 Mustang. Billed as their “ultimate performance” model the Q650 is constructed around a hand built 5.0L aluminum engine outfitted with top end forged components and internals. With 650 horsepower and 670 lbs of torque, this thing beats anything from Roush and Saleen in the horsepower wars, and the stock GT-500 too.Power comes from a mongo sized Steeda/Whipple intercooler supercharger system exercised with a custom Steeda tune. The engine breathes in through a Steeda cold-air induction and a high performance exhaust.

What makes the Q650 Mustang really a rocket is the fact that it comes with the track proven Steeda race suspension pedigree. Unlike other tuners who are satisfied with changing out shocks and springs, Steeda outfit’s the Q650 with their top tier package including all the important track bits like camber adjusters , control arm relocation, revised bump steer kit, and adjustable sway bar end links. Under the rear Steeda ads their popular ”G-Trac Bar”, billet lower control arms and an adjustable pan hard bar & brace.
To keep all that power and G-Force at pinpoint accuracy, Steeda enhances the structure of the car with a three-point frame rail & torque-box brace as well as a Steeda chrome moly/billet strut tower brace. The thing is a work of art (not shown in photo above).
