TheMustangNews.com: Launches New Features for 2008

Staff Report

New interactive Photo Galleries and Classified Ads Section added!

12/31/07: Entering the third year of Mustang and Ford online news, we have given our website a boost of excitement with new forum features, a member photo gallery, an all-new classified ads section, and a comprehensive graphics upgrade throughout the site.

Striving to be the “Web Authority For Mustang and Ford News”, we have invested in major upgrades for our flagship website that will allow users more interactive features that you have been asking for. “We have put a lot of emphasis on our news content in the first couple of years to get the site up to magazine levels of coverage, content, and up to date information”, says Sam Haymart, Editor of TheMustangNews. “Now it is time to build on our forum presence by offering top-flight features that allow our readers to interact and share their own love for the hobby with others”.

• New User Photo Gallery - Forum members can upload photos of their cars or projects into their own personal galleries. In addition, the gallery features hundreds of photos from TMN coverage of events, shows, and new models releases.

• New FREE User Classified Ads - Forum members can place online classified ads for cars, parts, and memorabilia. Ads formats include standard classified listings, “Buy it Now” ads with PayPal capability, and even E-Bay style bid listings.

• All new features utilize a single site-wide log in system.

• Updated Graphics and Look across entire website.

The main thrust of this push into 2008 is the roll-out of both the all-new TMN Photo Galleries and the new TMN Classifieds. Both new sections are tied into the newly reworked TMN Forums, so members can utilize all the sections with a single log-on account.

The new galleries provide forum members with up to 20mb of space in the members section to upload photos of their cars and relevant projects. The upload interface allows for editing and changing the collection at any time. Furthermore, users can post comments and ratings for photos throughout the galleries.

In addition to the members galleries, the site will eventually house thousands of searchable photos from TMN coverage including Ford factory photos of cars, events, shows, and other Mustang relevant pictures.

TMN Classifieds: www.themustangnews.com/classifieds/

Forum members will now be able to place FREE private party classified advertisements for cars, parts, memorabilia and items wanted. Each ad can contain 6 photos up to 800x800 pixels and can be optioned with bold or italic titles for a small fee. Sellers can choose standard classified ad listing where buyers contact them via a secure and private messaging system. There is also a “Buy-It-Now” and E-Bay style bidding option that allows buyers to buy and pay through the system using the seller’s PayPal account.

The new TMN Classifieds will also be a marketplace for dealers and vendors. There is a commercial section that will house featured sponsors advertisements. Dealers and vendors are invited to contact TheMustangNews.com for commercial advertising programs.
