Ford has just unleashed a slew of new photos of the soon to arrive 2013 Mustang and Mustang GT. The media event in Portland was a bit rainy, but still gives us some good insight into the look of the freshened pony.
To refresh, the 2013 gets a new design for 2013 with new front and rear fascias that ditch the fat black plastic cladding from before. A front face inspired by the 2010-2012 GT-500 now spreads across the entire line. Standard now are high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, mirror mounted signature lighting and painted body-side rockers. Mustang gets all new wheels designs too!
Mustang performance updates for the 2013 model include more power in the GT, now delivering 420 horsepower, addition of SelectShift to automatic transmissions, new GT Track Package, Hill Start Assist on manual cars, optional leather-trimmed or cloth Recaro seats and functional hood heat extractors on GT.
