04-02-07: Each year the Copperstate Mustang Club of Phoenix, Arizona puts on two major shows. Because of the blazing hot summers, one is in April and the other is in October. This year’s spring show was themed in “Rock N Roll” which meant music filled the air and the ever present voice of DJ Dan Martorano was keeping the crowd up to date on the many activities. It even meant a cameo appearance by Elvis.
The show attracts participants and cars from all vintages. Mustangs arrived from as far away as southern California, Utah, Minnesota and far flung parts of Arizona. The show moved to its new location at Berge Ford in Mesa, which allowed a large display area and ample opportunities to check out new Fords on the lot.
Copperstate Mustang Club’s show is a people's choice event with several classes broken down by year and specialty. This system provided a good chance for a lot of people to take home trophies based on the judgment of their peers. Well over 150 cars attended the event which spanned the weekend with different activities.
Also ever present were many vendors booths and sponsors from the local Phoenix area such as Stage 3 Motorsports, Haney Motorsports, The Mustang Shop and our partner Steedshop.com.
