Question engine swap

I have a 1969 mustang that had a 289 ci motor in it with an auto trans, that I would like to put my 1971 429 ci into. Does anybody know how much trouble I will get into? The motor is a 429 with cast heads, it is not a boss.

I am almost certain that you will still have to do some cutting and moving of the shock towers to make this swap work. It is much easier to just change up to an FE series engine, 390, 427, or 428, which are all bolt in swaps with the parts fairly easy to get. The 427 is a far superior engine to the 429, has many more performance options available, and again, is a bolt in swap. I ran a 427 side oiler in my 1970 Mach 1 race car years ago and was very successful with it. Hope this helps.
