Ford's New 2.0 DI Turbo EcoBoost for 2011 Focus/Fiesta SVT?
With Ford reporting a second quarter profit this week, one could say they might be on a positive roll. But not to rest, they have also announced a number of all new-power trains that are coming to dealers now and will be on the way very soon.
One of them is a new 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbocharged direct injection (DI) “EcoBoost” engine. This new power plant will come to the Ford dealerships in calendar year 2010 with about 230hp. The engine features DOHC with variable valve timing. Called Ti-VCT, both the intake and exhaust cam timing are variable and can be adjusted independently on the fly. This is especially helpful with a turbocharged application.......
