A spy photo has been found that shows one of the first new 2016 full size sedans from a popular automaker that will meet the new standards........

It's time for us to write to Wash. DC tell it like it is, we don't Green cars we what ,we what is V8s cars SUVs trucks and vote the people out in 2010, who whats this crap,
Got that right, Now I Do protect the enviorment, but this is treason.
This scumbag was driving a 300C with a Hemi in it before he got elected. I wonder how many mpg his LIMO gets? Or how about Air Force 1? How much fuel was burned flying a frigging PIZZA MAN from St Louis to Washington DC?
I can understand ignorant babble from members in their posts but the writer. I like my writers un-biased and to write that way. Don't get me wrong, I love mustangs and muscle cars in general but it's 2009. Why do our cars still weigh nearly two tons? They need 500 horses just to move the thing. Obama's not ruining the car companies, car companies are ruining car companies. Why hasn't a company used carbon fiber yet? Don't say it's too expensive either. All new technology and materials are expensive in the beginning. Supply and demand. There is no reason mustangs can't be made with carbon fiber making them lighter, stronger, and safer. I personally would hate to see the American V8 phased out so let's see a company make a light safe car that can be powered by a smaller super efficient V8. Everyone can agree, no car sounds better than an American muscle car, especially the Mustang so spouting hate and clinging on to old TIRED methods and technology isn't going to save the V8, it will kill it faster than you can imagine.

Where to start... So much ignorance.
First off, if you don't like a writer that's biased towards V8 cars, don't go on a Mustang forum, buddy. There's plenty of Prius forums for the sissies.
Why do our cars weigh two tons? Safety equipment, added features and content, sound deadening, and a host of other things that make today's cars drive better and safer than a 2700 lb '65 Mustang. Live in the now, man.
They need 500 hp just to move them???? I won't even justify that one with a "you're an idiot" stamp. Oops, too late.
Obama's not ruining car companies, the car companies are? WTF The car companies were doing great building exactly what people wanted for a century. Then the government screwed the economy and the gas prices at the same time. Every major business took a beating last year. Banks. Mom and pop stores. Everybody. Of course being three of the biggest businesses in the country and having to battle on both of those fronts took it's toll. There's blame to lay in Detroit, but far more to be laid in Washington. And hell yes, Obama is ruining the auto industry, one greenie ass-kissing deal at a time.
Carbon fiber? Yes it's less expensive than it used to be, but still far more expensive than sheet metal or aluminum. That's why it's only found on exotic cars, bub. You're telling me Ford will be able to charge another $1500 because the car it 75lbs lighter? Yeah.. I sell Fords, and people will jump ship over $100.
What is this tired old engine technology you're babbling about? Ford has had three valve variable cam timing on theit V8s for years, and have a nasty 4 valve on the way. 400 hp out of a little 5 liter's pretty badass. The Chevy small block uses one of those "horrible" pushrod engines, and gets 400+ hp. Ask any Vette owner what kind of mileage they get. Their answer might startle you enough to pull your head out of... Well, you get it. For the record, the F-150 gets better mileage with it's V8 than Toyota does with it's V6. You are a lemming still thinking about a 1985 Road and Track article you must have read. Again, live in the now.
I think that covers your ignorance for the day, proving that you really know nothing about the automotive industry. Yet another armchair CEO. Actually it sounds like you know just about as much as your boy Obama's newly appointed car czar lapdog. He's 32, fresh out of college and has said: "I don't know much about the auto industry, but I'll learn." Great. Another stunning Obama appointment.
And by the way, the fact that he has given himself the power to make such appointments is f**kin' scary. Is he gonna take over the agricultural industry and appoint a "Cow Fart Czar" to control greenhouse gasses? 'Cause we gotta get a handle on those damned bankrupt farmers.

But as to bias? Sure we are biased here at TMN, make to qualms about it. If you think there is such a thing as unbiased media well, I can't make a fish fly. The reality is that most people cry bias only when they disagree. When they read something and say, "I agree with that", they usually think it is pretty well balanced. For instance, I think FoxNews is pretty well balanced, while many consider them a one-sided terrorist attack on poor victimized Liberalism.
But yes, we are biased here toward logic and common sense. We are biased here toward America's greatness, our freedoms, and our well being as a society. And of course we are biased toward promoting our home team industries.
Do we "balance" the scales with criticism of politicians of both political parties? Yes. Do we "balance" the scales with criticism of American companies and even Ford when see reason? Sure do.
But if you don't like our bias, you can probably find the kind of "balance" you are looking for at ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, or the Washington Times. They are "balanced" by licking both of Obama's shoes in equal time.

Carbon is one of the most abundant elements on the planet. Mining and processing steel is a lot more work than producing a unibody made from Carbon fiber. We both know a carbon fiber unibody would make the car more like 75% lighter not 75 pounds lighter. Trust me, soon enough a company will mass produce carbon fiber frames and they will kick everyones ass and I want that to Be Ford. Arguing about this chaotic car industry and about Obama's attempt to fix it won't get us anywhere. The first company to come up with something different will rule the car industry for a long time and I would love to see Ford hold the reigns again. Trust me, we're on the same page as far as the future for cars we all love. I apologize for the bias thing I'm just frustrated with these American car companies dragging their feet. I have an F 350, I had an 84 fox with a 351 a Ranger, an 02 GT "Mad MAX" I just don't want to see the future of cars being small foreign econo-pods because the American car companies couldn't get there shit together. I know right now with this economy and administration coming down on them it's easier said then done but I have confidence Ford will come out on top of all this. Oh and the mad max thing, I always wanted an all black mustang. I got staggered 18*9 and 18*10 saleen reps but the tire shop used the wrong size tire and the wall was waaaay too big. Shiny all black GT with huge black shiny wheels and ugly dull tire walls. I hated it!
As a business owner, I am not going to invest in pie in the sky unless I think I am going to get a good and relatively fast return on my money. I can't afford to take big huge risks to build a big expensive widget if I don't know for sure people will spend big for it.
Most companies including Ford, GM and others are the same way. If they thought there was a market for a $150,000 Ford Focus that got 70mpg, they would be building them. But right now there isn't enough people that want to spend what it takes today to build what you are talking about.
Carbon fiber may very well be the material of the future. But right now as a commodity, it is several tens of times more expensive than steel, more expensive and time consuming to craft, and is less stable in the way of supply. Until that changes, no mainstream car company us going to start using it in total for mainstream products.
But as to Ford, they ARE innovating and will be the tip of the spear for the American automotive business very soon if not already. They are on the tipping point of gaining more market share in the USA because of new and innovative products than any other company in our market. You watch.

If the sales of new Fords here in Rochester are any indication of what happened nationwide in June, I think For shareholders are going to be very pleased when the figures are released. I know guys that work at local competitor dealerships, and they said they've been slow, but all my boys at the Ford stores are crankin'! It's already been reported that Ford expects less than a 20% drop this June from last, but in todays market, I think you will see much larger drops from the competitors. That brings us to the real gain, market share. Ford stock started at $5.78 today....
