For a variety of reasons, we have had to move to a new server host and rebuild all of our database applications from scratch. The good news is that our site has a fresh new set of software applications with new features.

The bad news is that our previous databases are gone for good

So, this means that if you were a member of our old forum, we must ask you to re-register here to be able to post and comment on articles.

Much of the content that had disappeared will be gradually replaced, but this is now your chance to be part of the re-launch of the Forums at TheMustangNews.com!

Kind of a pain in the neck, I lost all my gallery photos, profile settings, etc..., but hopefully it's for the better. The forums had gotten kind of stagnant lately, and sometimes it seemed as if I was the only one posting... Kinda talking to myself, but I love the site, and hope this helps you guys out. Just curious, was Mustangone lost with the old database, or did he make the trip with us? Hope to see him around.

MustangOne is the same as TMN, the site administrator.

We had a significant database crash that was caused by the server rules and technology from our old website host server.

While it has become pretty unusual these days, it doth happen.

We spent a few days moving the site to a new host server that allows a lot more flexibility for some new features and functions. They are also a lot more stable so we should not see this happen again.

It is a shame that so much info was lost but hey a fresh breathe of air and a lil rebuilding is not a bad thing. Maybe we can light a spark under some people to frequent the site more. Good luck with it Sam!

I may just be computer illiterate, but I can't seem to set my avatar. Is there some sort of secret code I'm missing?

Ok. Another stupid question. How do I change the "Mustang Enthusiast" to something else? Can't figure it out.

Try it now. This is a brand new forum installation so the hundreds of variable settings are still being tweaked.
