12-05-06: MagnaCharger, manufacturer of superchargers and supercharger systems for many vehicles has a newly designed supercharger system for ’05 and ’06 Mustangs with the 4.6L 3V engine. Systems are available both intercooled and non-intercooled.
This all-new supercharger system utilizes the MagnaCharger 5th Generation MP112 hybrid roots style supercharger with internal bypass valve. The internal bypass valve reduces parasitic losses while cruising for increased efficiency and economy. The MP112 supercharger unit shares its internal rotating assembly with superchargers factory equipped on Mercedes, Jaguar, SVT Cobra, Lightning, and Harley Davidson Trucks. A cool feature is that the drive system has self-contained lubrication and uses specially developed synthetic oil for long life.
Torque and horsepower output is improved from 1,200 rpm to 6,000 rpm, giving more “power under the curve” than any other supercharger system available, increases in excess of 125+ horsepower (with intercooler) and torque increases of equal amounts have been verified on the Magnuson chassis dynamometer. Mustang 3V supercharger systems are complete with all components necessary for installation. Included in the kit is the cast aluminum intake manifold, factory “push lock connectors” are utilized in the fuel system for ease of installation. Other components in the system include new fuel injectors and extruded aluminum fuel rails, secondary radiator and coolant circulation pump for air to water intercooler.
The included computer programmer communicates with the factory ECU for proper calibration the of the supercharger system. Transmission shift points, line pressures and converter strategies are optimized for use with the increase in torque and horsepower on automatic equipped vehicles.
All components are American made, only supercharger tested to 15lbs of pressure @ 15,000 RPM for 24 hours. MagnaCharger claims that the entire package installs in less than 1 day. Standard 3-year limited warranty on the supercharger system with optional 36,000 mile/3-year power train warranty availability for customer security and piece of mind.
